Political Science Conference

Members of the EDGE team (Kris Deschouwer, Eline Severs, Karen Celis) are organising the 2016 'Politicologenetmaal' ('24 hour political science conference').

The Politicologenetmaal is an annual conference on political science organised jointly by the Belgian and Dutch associations of political science. It will take place on 2 and 3 June 2016 at the VUB campus in Etterbeek. Throughout the two days, 16 thematic workshops on various issues of political science will take place. On Thursday 2 June a plenary session will take place in BOZAR, the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts. Professor Joni Lovenduski, Anniversary Professor of Politics at Birkbeck College, University of London, will give the plenary lecture 'Does feminism need political science?'. After the plenary lecture, the session will continue with the award ceremony (best MSc dissertation in political science, best PhD in political science and lifetime achievement awards), a reception and dinner.
